Position Summary:

The Network Engineer is responsible for the global network infrastructure, including designing, implementing, documenting, monitoring, maintaining and /or upgrading existing systems, and managing the local and wide networks for the enterprise. This position will also lead in the collaboration efforts of new technologies that drive business process change focused on Challenge’s key strategic goals around IoT. Works with multi-functional leads to find solutions and deliver results from a connectivity perspective.


  • Proven experience with Cisco routers and switching platforms (Catalyst/Nexus series).
  • Proven experience with Cisco wireless network platforms (Aironet access points and WLCs).
  • Experience with Network Access Control (NAC) solutions, such as ForeScout, a plus.
  • Ekahau experience/certification a plus.
  • Knowledge of security tools such as Cisco AMP for Endpoints, Cisco Umbrella, and DUO.  
  • Proven design skills along with a security responsibility with a minimum of three years managing large scale projects, with increasing levels of responsibility and success.
  • Knowledge of ITIL methodologies and proven skills in following processes.  
  • Ability to develop process documentation and visual diagrams of process flows.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and manufacturing applications as it relates to connectivity across the enterprise.
  • Knowledge of agile, scrum, and traditional project management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as and MS Project as well as other MS Office tools such as: Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio and Outlook.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer systems and networks, network security, or related field.
  • CCNA or CCNP a plus.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
