Position Summary:

We have an immediate opening for a Sr. Welding Engineer .  The Sr. Welding Engineer is responsible for developing welding techniques, procedures, and application of welding utilizing knowledge of production specifications, properties and characteristics of metals, metal alloys, and general engineering principles. In addition, Sr. Weld Engineers conduct research and development investigation to develop and test new fabrication processes and procedures or improve existing techniques and procedures. The Sr. Welding Engineer also functions as a mentor to other Welding Engineers.

Requirements:

  • B.S Welding Engineering or equivalent (required), Master’s preferred.
  • Understanding of resistance welding and arc welding principals and standards, as well as mechanical engineering (required). 
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a welding manufacturing environment (required), automotive industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of designing, hardware installation, programming and debug of automated robotic welding, sealing, fastening and assembly systems. 
  • Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
