Overview:

The position of Packer within the Stamping Press room is responsible for the placement of completed metal stampings in the appropriate storage container, while performing visual inspection of the parts for any defects or abnormalities.  The position is a fast paced role, at the "end of line", working to ensure quality parts are produced and stored properly.  The position is working on the following shift: 5AM-5PM Friday and Saturday and 5 PM-5AM Sunday and Monday with occasional overtime. Typically 40-60 hrs on a weekly basis.

What You'll Do:

  • Primary responsibility to perform initial visual quality check on metal stampings, while efficiently packing stampings in appropriate containers in order to ensure a quality product is available to internal and external customers.
  • Performs additional quality checks as necessary, records information in PLEX (ERP - enterprise resource data planning system) and performs general utility work to ensure production schedules are met. 

What You Need to Have:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
  • Must be able to understand and follow written and verbal workplace instructions. 
  • Work overtime as needed. 
  • Six-month manufacturing experience (preferred). 
  • Able to stand for 8-10 hours a day and be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to lift 20-30lbs consistently.
