Who We Want: 

The primary responsibility of the Material Follow-Up Coordinator is to data mine, verify, and escalate to ensure the plant has the necessary inventory levels to support production plans to meet safety stock quantities and ultimately customer demand. 

What You'll Do: 

They will have responsibility to assist in supporting the Materials Manager to achieve departmental objectives and customer satisfaction through ensuring delivery and production plans are put in place that will minimize if not eliminate production disruptions. Additionally, the Material Follow-up coordinator will have responsibility to monitor outside processes and some tier 2 suppliers to ensure on-time delivery to Challenge.

When and Where:

This will be a 2nd Shift / 4PM-12:30AM M-F position located at our Plant in Pontiac, MI. 

What You Need to Have:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a Materials Planner, Materials Scheduler or closely related role required.
  • Experience with Plex Systems ERP strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in automotive industry preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred (major or concentration in Supply Chain Management/Logistics is a strong plus).
