Position Summary:

The ERP Support Administrator will be primarily responsible for administering Challenge’s Plex ERP environment, working with other business units to improve our current business processes within Plex and assisting with EDI administration. This position will also be responsible for ERP report building, specifically via SQL databases, to support various business needs. Lastly, the Plex ERP Support Administrator will be responsible for leading new projects and reviewing, researching, and testing Plex capabilities to make recommendations used for system enhancements. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform Plex Administration for user community.
  • Serve as an escalation point for resolution on Plex issues.
  • Lead and participate in Plex/EDI implementation projects and provides cross-functional support, coordination, and planning.
  • Collaborate with users to research, design, develop, and test new capabilities within Plex.
  • Provide vendor and end-user support on technical integrations.
  • Responsible for implementing new processes and system enhancements and training end users.
  • Follow change control procedures and best practices for minimizing risk to production.
  • Assist with management and administration of EDI environment including configuration, transaction monitoring, production support, and improvements.
  • Build reports via SQL to support business needs and drive process efficiency.

Requirements:

  • S. degree from a four-year accredited university/college or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with ERP administration/support required, Plex ERP preferred.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, databases, and manufacturing applications.
  • Experience with ERP within the automotive industry preferred.
  • Experience with SQL databases, querying, and report building preferred.
  • Experience with EDI systems preferred.
  • Experience with automotive industry EDI types (ANSI x12, EDIFACT and related transaction types) preferred.
  • Ability to develop process documentation and visual diagrams of process flows.
  • Must have excellent problem solving and analytical skills to resolve complex technical, and business-related issues.
  • Must have superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be a team player with excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a global manufacturing environment
