Position Summary:

We have an immediate opening for a Facilities Maintenance Technician at our Walker, MI. facility.  This role is responsible for: 

  • Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains. 
  • Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment and related systems. 
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.
  • Perform maintenance tasks associated with building systems, such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs to ensure that the building is properly maintained.
  • Performs janitorial duties, when necessary such as: 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Must be able to understand and follow written and verbal workplace instructions.  
  • Must be able to work up to 12 hours per day, including Saturday and Sunday. 
  • One year of related experience and/or training (preferred).
  • Able to stand for 8-12 hours a day and be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
