Who We Want:

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to support our Stamping Press Operations Engineering Team. This internship provides hands-on experience in electrical systems related to stamping press operations, automation, and controls. The intern will work closely with engineers and technicians to ensure the accuracy of electrical documentation, assist in troubleshooting electrical systems, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Project Scope:
Key Projects & Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Documentation Management
    • Coordinate with controls engineers to ensure the latest electrical prints are organized and stored in the designated folder.
    • Update and maintain electrical schematics and panel layouts as modifications are made to stamping press systems.
    • Print and deploy updated schematics for all electrical panels, ensuring compliance with internal documentation standards.
  • Electrical Panel and Wiring Verification
    • Conduct field verification of electrical panel wiring to confirm accuracy against schematics.
    • Identify discrepancies and work with controls engineers to implement corrections.
    • Assist in labeling electrical components within stamping press panels for easier troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Process Improvement Initiatives
    • Participate in root cause analysis for electrical failures in stamping press operations.
    • Research and recommend best practices for electrical system organization and maintenance.
    • Assist in implementing standardization projects for electrical prints and panel layouts across different production lines.

When and Where:

May 19th – August 2025 (Exact end date TBD)

This will be a 1st Shift / 8am – 5pm M-F position located at our Holland, Michigan plant located at 1401 S. Washington, Holland, MI, 49423

What You Need to Have:

  • A college or university student heading into their junior or senior year majoring in Electrical Engineering or a related field of study.
