Who We Want:
The Crib Supervisor's goals are to support and/or lead initiatives that control inventory such that turns are maximized, items are stocked that ensure maximum up-time on machinery, number of items is reduced by identifying universal parts/components across machinery/equipment, items are upgraded for longer life span, cost of inventory is reduced, and operation of the tool crib is as efficient as possible for both the crib and its customers. Also supports safety initiatives at the plant level.
What You'll Do:
- Responsible for ensuring operational efficiency to minimize mistakes in inventory and customer wait time
- Create and maintain visual environment to support efficient inventory distribution and management
- Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to in order to ensure procedural compliance, inventory control, and resource management
- Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to foster positive relationships and excellent customer service
- Work collaboratively with other departments (i.e., maintenance, tool room, engineering, purchasing, etc.) to achieve key performance indicators related to labor costs, machine up-time, production output, machine availability, quality standards, and increased OEE
- Establish minimums and maximums of inventory
- Assist with building the BOM
- Track cost and usage of items
- Conduct safety assessments
- Participate in plant Safety Committee
When and Where:
This will be a 1st Shift / 7 AM- 3:30 PM M-F position located at our Plant in Spartanburg, SC.
What You Need to Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Trade/Technical school certificate and/or Associates Degree
- Must have a minimum three years prior work experience as a Supervisor, Crib or five or more years previous work experience as a Tool Crib Attendant combined with additional leadership or supervisory experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with basic office computer software, and ability to learn how to effectively use software/ERP system to input data and research parts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to perform and succeed in an environment of schedule and cost pressure while navigating competing priorities and requirements
- Steel toed boots required on site
