Who We Want:

Develop and maintain cost models for efficient manufacturing of automotive assemblies that meet the design requirements of the customer (internal and external).

What You'll Do:

  • Quickly comprehend RFQ packages and identify key items and missing / conflicting information
  • Process RFQ’s
  • Communicate with sales, purchasing, finance, and program management personnel to insure RFQ responses are accurate and timely
  • Disseminate RFQ’s to, and receive responses from, outside suppliers
  • Ensure all required tasks and considerations have been comprehended prior to identifying quotes as ‘complete’

When and Where:

This will be a 8 AM - 5 PM M-F position located at our Corporate Office in Walker, MI.

What You Need to Have:

  • High school diploma
  • 5 years of estimating experience in manufacturing
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 10 years of estimating experience in automotive manufacturing preferred
  • Stamping and / or weld tooling processing and design preferred
  • Has high standards of performance for self.
  • Takes responsibility for actions, results, and mistakes.
  • Is thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks; demonstrates honesty and integrity in all aspects of work.
  • Takes positive action to objectively resolve conflict by listening, staying focused on issue to find resolution, and monitoring progress.

  • Has necessary experience, skills, and knowledge to perform all aspects of job; rotates through all job responsibilities.

  • Working knowledge of automotive part production manufacturing
  • Familiarity of cost model development
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to effectively communicate with personnel in varying roles, in person, via telephone and email
