Who We Want:
We are looking for a dynamic Corporate Training Coordinator who’s passionate about helping others grow, succeed, and lead. As the Corporate Training Coordinator, you’ll be the engine behind how we grow, train, and elevate our salaried workforce across 12 manufacturing plants in six states. This role blends instructional design, project management, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll collaborate directly with leadership, drive strategic L&D initiatives, all with the goal of building a high-performance, safety-first, quality-driven culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with Plant & Corporate Leaders to assess training needs and develop targeted training plans to close skills gaps.
  • Lead learning projects — plan, coordinate, market, and deploy learning initiatives across the company.
  • Mentor & guide local Training Coordinators and plant-based trainers, ensuring consistency and alignment with corporate L&D strategies.
  • Leverage tools like AI platforms, Articulate 360, and LMS technologies to create innovative, on-demand learning experiences.
  • Conduct Job Task Analyses and Skill Gap Assessments for salaried roles; design structured learning paths aligned with job expectations.
  • Source and manage vendor relationships for external training programs and ensure delivery meets company standards.
  • Facilitate high-impact training sessions — including new hire orientation, leadership development, and professional skill-building.
  • Coordinate compliance training aligned with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and VDA standards; support internal/external audits.
  • Support enterprise-wide L&D strategy, from classroom instruction to digital learning, across all Challenge locations.

When and Where:
This will be am 830AM - 5PM M-F position located at our Corporate Office in Walker, MI.

Occasionally, this may require you to arrive early, stay late, or work on weekends, outside of our regular hours, to ensure we successfully meet customer needs, deadlines, or urgent requests.

What You Need to Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Organizational Development, Business, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in instructional design and/or corporate training delivery.
  • Strong facilitation skills, both in-person and virtual; confident leading training for all levels of the organization.
  • Experience managing or mentoring others preferred.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ATD, CPLP, SHRM, or similar) is a strong plus.
  • A proactive training professional who brings both strategy and execution.
  • A natural communicator who can engage and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • A tech-savvy problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • A people-first leader who believes in coaching, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and project coordination skills.
  • Experience working in or supporting manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
  • Uses feedback from others to continuously improve performance and work relationships.
