Who We Want:
The primary responsibility of the Materials Manager is to ensure Plant Materials staff members are trained and following procedures set forth by the Director of Materials. They have responsibility in the oversight of the Materials Department to achieve operational objectives and customer satisfaction. This includes the management of inventory levels, on-time shipment of finished goods, warehousing/shipping of goods, customer service, the procurement, receipt, and storage of raw materials.
What You'll Do:
- Order Processing – EDI and Manual
- MRP, JRP, PRP
- Knowledge of Kanban
- All Shipping Activities – Scanning, Labeling, Loading, Paperwork, etc.
- Accum Management
- Customer Contact
- On time delivery
- Packaging (Returnable and Expendable)
- Receiving Process – Standard and Subcontract
- Track Errors
- Production Scheduling
- Oversees the releasing of all raw materials and purchased parts
- Capacity Analysis
- Responsible for all Warehouse(s) Organization – Raw, Purchased, WIP and Finished Goods
- Maintain defined inventory levels – reporting those levels out as required
- Cycle count inventories to ensure accuracy of 90% plus
- Ensure adequate inventories are maintained so Production can operate without stoppages
When and Where:
This will be a 1st Shift / 6AM-4PM M-F position located at our Plant in Bridgeton, MO.
Occasionally, this may require you to arrive early, stay late, or work on weekends, outside of our regular hours, to ensure we successfully meet customer needs, deadlines, or urgent requests.
What You Need to Have:
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a Materials Planner, Materials Scheduler or closely related role required.
- Leadership experience required.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred (major or concentration in Supply Chain Management/Logistics is a strong plus).
- Experience with Plex Systems ERP strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in automotive industry preferred.
- Experience using GM Supply Power or Honda Web preferred.
- Has high standards of performance for self.
